MEET THE ILLUSTRATOR BEHIND A VERY MERRY WORLD
Jeffrey Phillips has been a freelance illustrator for 13 years (and counting), and in that time he’s cheerfully dipped his pen into just about every corner of the illustration world. From court sketch artist to murals, animations, and even restaurant menus, his career has been anything but one-note.
His inspiration comes from the buzz of the world around him - especially dense, fast-moving urban environments. Growing up in India, spending significant time in New York City, and now calling Melbourne, Australia home, Jeffrey feels most creatively alive where there’s energy, movement, and a little chaos in the air.
Jeffrey’s illustration style spans everything from simple black-and-white observational line drawings to richly detailed, color-drenched scenes. The common thread? People - always at the heart of the story - with the occasional frog making a cameo when the moment calls for it.
A COLLABORATION WITH GLASSHOUSE
This marked Jeffrey’s very first foray into creating artwork for packaging - and it didn’t take long for the ideas to start bubbling.
Glasshouse began by dreaming up beautiful, big scenarios for each world - from grand English manors to cozy winter lodges - considering everything from architecture and interiors to the fashion flair of the characters who’d call them home. Once those worlds were imagined, the rest unfolded like magic.
All six scenes came together side by side in just over 30 days - a joyful blur of long days, late nights, and creativity fueled by the festive spirit of the season.
I wanted to delight the eye of the beholder as much as the fragrance would delight their nose.
FRAGRANCE AS MUSE
For this collection, fragrance wasn’t just an accompaniment - it was the starting point. The notes shaped everything from the characters and their costumes to the places they inhabit and the stories they tell.
The result? Fragrance and illustration dance hand-in-hand, turning imagination into something you can see - and almost smell.
